Style: JunMing

I never knew I had to do a “review” on my own style one day.

I had attempted alot of drawings but found out that my style is quite a unique mix of Hong Kong comic and Japanese manga. Most of my drawings are “borrowing” from other artist like the poses and figures and making certain changes to them since I started out copying instead of having my own personal style.

Many would have heard of the anime “Initial D” and of course, the line shadings which made its style popular. I would say that my style is pretty much near realistic drawings and use lines to shade the shadow parts.

I don’t like to color my characters or to be true, I don’t know how to color them well. Instead, I will use the shadings to identify the light source, therefore, making most of my drawings to be male instead for females.

PIC REMOVED DUE TO SUPER SHITTY-NESS

As you can see, most of my drawings are usually more manly and these lines just isn’t suitable to be on the face of a female, due to the time constraints, I only managed to sketch out the head instead of the full body. Many can say that it look like Hokuto no Ken, or Fist of the North Star in English, indeed, my style is mostly influenced by it. Spread across the internet, the term “Gar” has start been used as Manly, which can be seen in my drawings.

However, this doesn’t means that I cannot draw other things, one of the many drawings I have attempt and try to color isn’t very manly. I did this drawing a few weeks before this lesson started

I know that I only started drawing recently, so drawings will be bad D: hope to remove those stuffs someday.. replacement of course.
